Day 2 is done. I didn't really say much about day 1 so I will mention a few comments here about that as well.
On Monday I attended the Energy, Machines, and Motion session. One thing I liked was the emphasis on formative assessment. I need to get my hands on the Page Keeley books soon, especially the new Physical Science one. I liked the idea the presenter had of having groups of students write responses on a note card, collect, redistribute, and discuss.
I came into this really hoping that teachers would talk about formative assessment strategies that they actually use and so far I have got something good from each day.
Today we presented our project. I welcome feedback from anyone on how we did and suggestions for us.
I got some good technology tips today and some resources I hope to be able to use this year (google docs, one note, tracker, Khan academy). I am curious to learn how other teachers use these tools in there classroom.
Looking forward to tomorrow. We are presenting again. See you all later.
Thanks

MSP Summer Institute
I am currently attending the MSP Summer Institute in Wenatchee. It is Monday and we are configuring our blogs and logging on to the msp wiki.
I will post comments and respond to questions in this blog.
As of now we have attended one workshop on Energy, Machines, and Motion. I will add more comments on that later.
